David MariscalI'm kinda disheartened to see Cubs fans so salty. I hated to see you guys take out my Dodgers last year, but the Cubs had to wear the bullseye this year, and they struggled to win the division, and had to scratch and claw to get past a determined Nationals squad, but the Dodgers are rested, confident, and deep. It's no shame to getting beat while leaving it all on the field.

Donald HolcombBryant just came up big he hits a meaningless homer down 9 zip. The Dodgers dodged a bullet because I believe the Nationals would have shut them down. They could not hit Strasburg & Mad Matt. The Dodgers with all their wins this year only hit. 249 as a team which was only good for 22nd out of 30 teams. And they had 6 guys strike out over 100 times. The Cubs are not a good team right now and that signing of Heyward & Zobrist was terrible deals.

Jim Merrick3 home runs by the same player (Hernandez) in the same NLCS championship game, and being beat by a current score of 11-1 (with the Dodgers seemingly hitting at will.) If that doesn't define the need for pitching changes for the Cubs for next year, nothing else will. As well, there is a big need to get back to basics on batting, and placing hits.

Kevin WhittonI'm just glad they won't be spending the first half of the season celebrating 2016 . They earned the right celebrate hard. But once the next season begins the celebrations needed to stop along with all the ring ceremonies for guys that were no longer on the team. Next time we win it all and we will soon, use the off season to party hardy, but once spring training begins it's back to business and the party stops until we win it again. With some smart moves pitching wise there is no telling how many more championships we could win. Go Cubs great try under the circumstances, you have nothing to be ashamed of

Marty McNutzWell at least they didn't get swept. So now the NLCS of 2016 was the best ranking 1st, NLCS of 2017 ranks 2nd, & NLCS of 2015 ranks 3rd in the last 3 seasons. The Dodgers are a very skilled team with great pitching. There is no doubt about that. Dodgers easily could have gone to the World Series in 2015 & 2016. They know that. They are hungry & don't want to waste another opportunity. Cubs have to realize the Dodgers are bringing it 110%. Maybe the Cubs aren't as hungry b/c they been basking in all the 2016 ⚾️🐻🏆 Championship glory, but as defending Champs they need to show some more fight. Game 4 was a good start. Now build off of that. Can move the series back to L.A. if the Cubs want. Have to fight for it!!! GO CUBS GO!!!

He has a lifetime ERA of 3.51 and his ERA this year was slightly higher. He will be 32 in a March. But there are few SPs on the FA market this offseason as well. He is not a 1 or 2 starter on a good team, but someone will likely offer him 2 starter money. That person won't be Jed Hoyer. So the cubs should not promote a kids night for underprivileged kids ( not sure if they do this but some teams do) or any social endeavor that has nothing to do with baseball. How short sighted. Go Cubs for being a great team and for supporting a cause like this.

Michael PetersWhen I was just a kid, my dad got transfered in his job and we moved to just outside of Cincinnati. I was in the 4th grade and I went to Mongomery Elementary School in Montgomery, OH. As the new kid and kind of a skinny kid with glasses, I endured a lot of bullying during this period of time. One of the worst cases where I was physically brutalized by one of my peers, this huge kid that was in my grade but in another class came up to me on the playground with two other kids. For no reason at all that I know of, this kid, whom weighed about 150 lbs whilst I weighed about 80, grabbed me by one arm, and began swinging me around and around and once I was sufficiently off-balance, he let go. I went flying and fell to the ground so hard that I cut my knee open with nasty gash. I still have the scar to this day. Then they just laughed at me and walked away, literally high-fiving each other. I had to go straight to the emergency room from school to get several stitches to close the nasty jagged gash in my knee that this kid inflicted on me. The name of the kid who did this to me for no reason at all: Kevin Youkilis. Why did Kevin do that to me? I still dont know. Kevin works for the Cubs today. Just saying...

That shows the umps & the main MLB office want a L.A.vs. NYC World Series in my humble opinion. So let's play hard like we never play before. Don't give The Dodgers the win on a silver platter, make them work for it. If they want to go to the World Series, they need to win it in their own house, not at Wrigley Field. Don Triche2 things, pitching is walking a record number of hitters. hitters are hitting solo homers or nothing. we need less pwer hitters in the line up and more top of the order .300 hitters with speed. its all about the long ball is killing us. back in the day a player would get a walk or single, steal second, move over on a ground out and score on a sac fly. thats called baseball. not players striking out one after another till someone hits a homer. thats why were losing. good win.

Bob CheneyI believe in our Cubbies! We can do it. Our bats have to come alive, hopefully the HR's last night were at least a spark. Need a lot more walks, singles, doubles, then let our bombers fly. We'll have to get enough of a lead tonight to have our shaky bullpen close it down. Really questioned bringing in Wade for 6 outs and the results showed. Everyone has been saying "but out bullpen hasn't been any good!" So who is going to have to save it tonight if we get a lead? The rest of the bullpen. It only shifted the problem to game 5. Would have made more sense to me to bring in Edwards, Strop, or whoever to SEE if they could get 1, 2 or 3 outs first. If they walk someone, or give up a base hit, THEN bring in Wade. This is not hindsight thinking, it was my thoughts in the 6th when Arrieta was still rolling along. BUT, now that I've said my peace (of which I am sure so many people care to hear-sarcasm) I am pulling 100% for our boys and Joe to lead us to another win. #LetsWinTwo

Take game 6 back to LA. Dodgers batters starters have got to be starting to get tired playing this many games in a row? We can take this series to game 7! No umpires giving these games to Dodgers with their wrong and bad calls to favor Dodgers even calling the batting calls and Maddon can get through this game 5 without being ejected again! Brian EvensonThey are not dead yet...this is exactly what we need to see for the next three games. I, myself, will be happy that the Cubbies made it back to the NLCS, but I will join every other fan in joyful ecstasy if they are able to rally from a 3-0 deficit to go back to the World Series!

Brian L. HoganThe spirit of the 2004 Red Sox is taking over. They were three down to the Yankees and won FOUR STRAIGHT... and then the World Series. Go CUBS.
