Bill CampbellI was watching the final game of the World Series that year on a battery-powered TV since we hadn't gotten our power back yet due to Hurricane Wilma here in South Florida. The game ended on the east coast after midnight allowing me to say the Sox won their World Series on my birthday (10/27). Now that's a nice present for a life-long Sox fan.

Roger SchatzOk...nice gesture. Those three are able to say they contributed to White Sox success, but despite the changes in ownership over the 11 plus decades the White Sox have only three World Series victories in 116 years. The wonderful memories that fans have of great players, great games, thrilling moments and heart-breaking losses nurture tradition and life-long support, but in the end, winning is everything. The tradition is wonderful and except for 3 WS wins, it is wrapped in general mediocrity. Waiting till next year is getting stale. All the marketing and circuses are not going to change that.

Sean TunneyI think Renteria is keeping that seat warm, nothing else. I’ve seen nothing to suggest this may happen and surely there are more viable candidates. But I’m curious about whether AJ has the chops to manage a team. All former players like him get mentioned as a manager candidate because of personality. But does he really know enough and have the ability to lead a team. I wonder if this is on his radar or Sox brass at all.

Roderick McNealyTerrible use of bullpen. Too much "mix and match". If pitchers getting people out, leave them in. Buehrle was an "all-timer" for White Sox.
