Anthony MollisonI've said it before and I'll say it again-- Bauer is an excellent pitcher. He will only get better when he matures and controls his emotions. The guy is awesome. Ron AngererCody Allen has a career 2.90 FIP, and owns an unseemly .338 BABIP right now. Stop freaking out. He's been a top 10 RP the last 3+ seasons, and is just experiencing a bump. He'll regress positively to his mean.

Brett SimsI've said it many times before, Cody is NOT a dominant pitcher in any form or fashion. He gives up multiple hits and/or runs almost every time he comes in. Idk what you do with the guy. If he gets the save as our closer it's not without giving us a heart attack first, and if he comes in for a non-save situation or for the hold he's even worse. He's never been dominant, he'll never be dominant. He's an average closer/reliever at best.

James Michael MyersI just can't even, all the people calling for Allen and Shaw's heads and demanding we make Miller the closer. It's as if they don't understand how critical Miller is at coming in the when the most damage can be done and deflating the situation. I feel like you guys don't realize how good our bullpen really is. All you see is or hear is how good Miller is, and you discredit the rest of our staff. Andrew Miller can't and doesn't pitch all of our relief innings!

Steve WeaverAllen is a concern right now, he may be tired from overuse, but his fastball has no movement whatsoever. Should also be mentioned that the offense still struggled. Just like I have to laugh when fans bury the Tribe saying they're a terrible team that's going nowhere and they should fire the GM. I actually laugh at the stupidity of such things. They are in 1st place, have the 3rd best run differential in the AL, 2 of the best starters in baseball, and the best pen. Have they had some struggles getting their offense going and with the bottom of the rotation? Yes. Which if you're a logical person should mean that there's ample room for improvement and that they should soar in the 2nd half. Also that they're resilient and capable of winning even when not playing up to their talents. Relax Tribe fans... The goal of winning the division and WS is still in sight. They got this!

Nick VilfroyI think it would be more frustrating to be like the Nationals. Great lineup, strong starting staff, absolute garbage bullpen. They've had five different closers this year (Blake Treinen, Koda Glover, Matt Albers, Shawn Kelley, and Enny Romero) and none of them have been good. And nobody else has been solid either. One of their guys said that it feels like they have to win the game twice because it's so bad. Yeah, they have more wins, but they're also playing in the weakest division in baseball right now.

David ReberThe point is he seems to play with fire most of the time. He has given up 28 hits and 11 walks in only 30 innings. That means our closer is averaging over 1 base runner (1.3) per inning. Also an overwhelming % of his hits and HRs are when he throws his straight cheese fastball right over the plate.

James EberlyIf Clev pitches like this the rest of the season and we do in fact go after a starting pitcher at the deadline, it will no longer be up for debate. We will have the best rotation in the league. Kluber, Carrasco, Sonny Gray/Yu Darvish, Bauer and Clev is not a rotation anyone would want to face. Especially if Salazar comes back like 1st half of 2016 Danny Salazar. Yikes. There's just no holes on this team and I love it.

Chris RossBut we're NOT going to pitch like this the rest of the season. Clevinger is good for a nice start every 3-4 weeks - fine for a 2nd year pitcher. Salazar is lost and can't stay healthy. Bauer finds his form once per month and gives up walks and bombs the rest of the time. And Tomlin can pitch 5 innings half the time. And gets bombed the other half. We need to trade for a legit #2 or #3 starter because we're not going back to the WS with this rotation. Sorry to be negative, but I gotta call it like I see it.

You want to try and win, but not every hit is a "walk-off"......not every swing needs to be a base clearing home run (heck, you have to get on base first). Indians,.......you are my team, and I am a fan and have been since my first game in 1954. I've sit in the old stadium when there were just a couple thousand fans in the seats and I rooted for them no matter what. I couldn't make it as a coach, but even I can see that you all are try'n too hard. Play Ball....enjoy the game while you are doing your jobs......:-) I had to edit this and say that the rest of you need to contribute as much or more than our pitchers have and give them the backing they deserve. David KatzOn the bright side, at least clevinger had a great night. Who would've guessed he would go 6 innings, throw 103 pitches and allow only two hits? It's a shame the Indians couldn't hit tonight. Welp, there's always tomorrow. Go tribe!

Can someone teach him to switch to a cutter/2 Seam fastball? Please? Pretty please?!? His curve is filthy, but his straight as a bullet fired from a rifle fastball gets murdered. When u only have 2 Pitches and the batter guesses right, it's gone.

Ryan HetrickThey aren't playing their best but there's no reason to be alarmed. They still have as good as a top 2 as any in baseball and the best bullpen. Allen has given up a few long balls. It happens. I'd still take him over just about anyone in a high stakes game. He proved it last year. Miller too. Lindor, Kipnis, Brantley, and Santana are 2nd half players and all having down years so far. Yet... They're in 1st and have the 3rd best run differential in the league. Same with Salazar, Bauer, and Tomlin. Truth be told, we just need 1 of those guys to catch fire. I expect Cookie and Kluber to dominate most games as they've proven time and again. I think Danny's issue is all command and confidence. He's far too talented to go away. Dude was an all-star last year. He'll be back and have a solid 2nd half. So... Consider all that "went wrong" and how "terrible" and "going nowhere" they're in 1st place at the end of June. Remind yourselves of the real goal. Win the division. Win the WS. They have all the horses and the right coach to pull it off.

Jon GellottThis was a GOOD game, and an unfortunate end. I've seen enough Indians posts to know where the comments are going. Even with his bad outings in the books this season, he's still better than Basketcase Bauer. Our offense was dead tonight big deal! They won't score 15 runs every night and the team ERA won't be a 0.76 at the end of the season. They'll probably still come of this division! Jesus Christ!!!

Russell RowleyLook, 3 out of our 4 division foes are all the way at the bottom ten. Detroit is 15 for 30 on save attempts and are dead last in ERA. When do we get to play them again? Also: Our relievers have the 7th least amount of innings pitched. That means that despite our starters doing not so great this year, they're still pitching pitching well enough to where we don't tax our bullpen more than needed.
