Rob LeGaultI like the direction Tito has established with players learning multiple positions. It helps when players get injured and if guys decide to go free agency route. In the past, if a player left there was nobody to fill the void and now there is a plan. Go Tribe!!

Dennis BusseI get it. Still wish they would leave him behind the plate. His bat is way better than Gomez and Perez combined. But if he is going to play 3 where is Ramirez going?2nd? Then Kipnis in the outfield?

Steve ZnidarsicI would much rather see Ramirez at 3rd, Kipnis at 2nd. I know Kips defense is not quite as good as Ramirez, but his offense is better the Urshela's. Plus Kipnis scares the he'll out of me in CF. Plus, they have Zimmer and Allen in CF. They have plenty of OF's, Zimmer, Allen, Chisenhal, Brantley.....

Peter D MichaelThis article is comical and reads like its written by some writer that does not even follow the Indians, but just looked at numbers. Kipnis in LF?? He had no value in CF and he no longer has value on this team. But Francona will find a way to keep him and f#ck up another season!!!

Jim MarininThe Tribe has some tough decisions to make....1) Dump Brantley, sorry.. but his injuries have made him useless...2) Try to trade Kipnis because he now has no position, unless you can't trade him, you maybe let him battle it out in LF..3) Take the Brantley money and the money you don't give to Santana or Bruce and make a big pitch for Eric Hosmer

Daniel LouisIt’s actually really dumb to not pick up Brantley’s option. Most teams will jump at $12MM for a player like Brantley. If you pick up the option, you make him bet on himself. If he gets hurt again, then you wash your hands of him in 2018 with no penalty.

David LanzarettaIt speaks volumes that the Indians won 22 straight without kipnis or Brantley in the lineup. They are rally killers. We need contact guys. They strike out way too much and kipnis doesn't even hit for average. I'd trade kip and Salazar for a left handed starter. Resign Jackson in left. Meija at 3rd with urshela as a backup. I'd resign Santana over bruce. Bruce isn't a contact guy either. It's all or nothing with him. We need a veteran in right that hits for average.

Quincy WheelerWith Mejia playing third in the AFL, I wonder if he might have a chance to come up there this coming year? With Brantley's injury, I predict we'll have an outfield of Kipnis, Zimmer and Guyer/Chisenhall next year. Then they'll either resign Santana or another right handed/switch hitter for first or third. And Jackson or Allen will be on the roster to provide a right-handed platoon option for Zimmer and Kipnis.

Tim MetevelisWith Brantley's injury slowing him down to start next season the tribe might be able to negotiate a one year deal with incentives and decline the option. Sad truth is Shaw is gone and they might be able to keep Bruce or santana, not both.

With the Tribe and Kansas City reaching the last three world series I think that mlb and tv are done with small market teams reaching the fall classic. All you have to do is watch game 5 of this years ALDS. I'm not a complainer, but I know I'm going to come off as one. However there were two different strike zones in that game. Jeff IgleheartVery disappointed this year. Since the loss to the Yankees, I have been rooting for the Dodgers. I have not rooted for a National League team since the days of the Red Machine (Cincinnati Reds). I have tried not to be upset. Some players did not play well at times during the season, post season. and also there were injuries. I will be frank, I would rather win the ALCS or the World Series than have a 22 game winning streak with teams that are so terrible. One final point from a Army veteran, it is not the size of the lion in the fight, it is the size of the fight inside the lion. You must be locked in, and focused to defeat your adversary. I could tell something was wrong by the facial expressions of some of the Indians players. I LOVE THE INDIANS. P.S. Defeat the Yankees.

Bad enough that the video of the celebration last year of them clinching a spot in the W.S. came up on my memories yesterday. In my opinion, not even making it through round 1 (even though we only needed one more game win in the last 3 games) was a MUCH harder hit than losing game 7 last year. Will ALWAYS be a Tribe fan, but it's gonna take some time getting over this for sure. I feel like an idiot telling everyone over a month ago that it was going to be Dodgers/Indians in W.S. this year. Would love to see Bruce back but dont see the team able to meet the price tag and that brings me to Santan in the 2nd half he was the hitter all of us expected when he came up, but like Bruce not sure the FO will meet the price to keep him.

Joshua SimpsonWhatever you guys end up doing. Please come back in 18 hungrier and angrier than in 17. We lacked the killer instinct this postseason. Plenty of talent, should have went further if not won the whole damn thing. But couldn't close out a young Yankees team playing way above their heads. Whatever happens, come back mad next year.

Michael HargroveTIME TO CLEAN HOUSE!! Kipnis, Brantley, Almonte, Chisenhall, Tomlin, McAllister. Their time has come. Trade two for one and get some serious hitting and pitching. Seemed like the team thought they were entitled to the AL pennant and didn't have to fight for it. You can tell when a team loses it's soul and the Tribe were a victim of the grim reaper. No hustle, too many errors, pitch location off, and swinging for the fences every time. It's okay to just get a hit and advance the runner. And if Tito can't get it done maybe it's time for a different skipper. Love the Tribe, just had enough.

Vincent ColucciBottom line.... yes they have a team that could have gotten to the World Series and maybe have won it this time and could have won it last year. But the thing is they didn’t play very good this year in the playoffs. However they say 3 in a charm Lol. I’m ready for the 2018 season it’s going to be a long wait. They are still a very good team and we have one of the best if not the best managers in baseball

Ki MixonI don't think it's a talent issue. We are loaded with talent. For whatever reason we have lost a 3-1 lead in WS last year and a 2-0 (5 game series) this year. That's back to back collapses. While I love Tito and think he's an amazing manager, I think he lets them get too comfortable and not prepared for the pressure of facing possible elimination in the playoffs.

Dave LeffingwellFree up some big $$ by letting Brantley go - sorry, he just doesn't have it anymore. Besides being injured more than healthy, his power numbers are way down. If you do keep him consider putting him at 1B - he is a lefty. If you decide to try him at 1B, then trade/cut Santana - a big waste of $$. Bruce could even be tried at 1B if you can resign him. He sure isn't much of an OF. Kipnis needs to be looked at closely - he certainly is not a CF and his offensive numbers are way down. Guyer is a waste - get rid of him. You have young outfielders who can take over. Spend the $$ and lock up Lindor. Now onto the pitching - Shaw is unreliable at best. Dump him. Boone Logan is a waste of $$ - dump him. We have plenty of starters, especially if Salazar can finally get healthy. Someone has to go to the bullpen. Salazar or Clevinger as a closer/set-up? Bring up Ryan Merritt and keep him on the roster.

Robert CurtisUnfortunately because of injuries we shouldn't be picking up Brantley's option. Renegotiate? Definitely bring Jay Bruce back. Santana's price tag will most likely be too high. And what could Kipnis bring in a trade? Need another starter as Salazar hasn't given what we thought. The end of season disappointment will hopefully light a fire. We definitely need more offensive consistency.

Daniel McBrideFocus, focus, focus, free agents Carlos Santana, Jay Bruce, need to be resigned, decline the $11 million club option on Michael Brantley, they have Bradley Zimmer for center field, do what you can to keep Austin Jackson. As for pitching, see what is available and affordable in the market, look into your farm system and see what is available for possible trades for a left handed pitcher, consider your options for a closer, not that Cody Allen is not worthy just scope out what you already have.

Kenny BergerThe streak had nothing to do with that of the games during that stretch we did nothing out of the normal to exude any more energy so I think that’s not a valid point. I think that also losing had a lot to do with players coming off of injuries that should’ve never been in the lineup and the cohesive unit that we had during our winning stretch should have been the guys we went with. No Kipnis no Brantley.. never should have been on playoff roster.. also Tomlin earned a start and never was given the opportunity even though he’s shown he can win big games. Also Tomlin changes the speed of bats which is what we needed vs the hard hitting Yankees. I hope Francona learns from his mistakes we will have a few more chances at it but if we are not careful we will turn into another Detroit Tigers team who had all the talent but could never win the World Series the window is shrinking ever so slightly every year you give away chances we are still young and I believe we can do it but we have to learn from this... rant over.. go tribe😔

Chad CloerIt's over this year. I thought we were hot at the right time, but I also think we should have left Brantley off the roster, and stayed with the regular starting pitching rotation. If we win Game 3 which we lost a 1-0 pitching duel, we wouldn't even be on here having this conversation. Cookie pitched a great game 3, and Lindor had the HR taken away by Judge, which would have given us a 2-1 lead. I do think something was wrong with Kluber. There was absolutely no movement on his cutter that moves left to right, and his slider had no bite either. Let's move on to next year, and pick up some good off season player acquisitions. Tito and Antonetti are pretty good at filling in the gaps. Go Tribe.

Roger FierstIf the roster that won 22 went into playoffs we would still be playing baseball. That is an indisputable fact. Tito took 3 veterans who had not faced MLB pitching for 2 months. No rehab assignments in minor leagues available. Brantley Kipnis Chisenhall. I love them but you do not take them on playoff roster. Then he put 3 starters in bullpen and pitched an injured Kluber. Carrasco should have started Game 1 ( hindsight says Game 2 because of Bauers awesome Game 1) But before that stats said Game 1 Carrasco Game 2 Bauer Game 3 and 4 if needed ... Kluber if healthy or Clevenger Tomlin combination. Salazar wasnt trusted so why have him. A starter is not used to pitching out of the pen. Giving up one run in Top of 2 is far different than giving up one run bottom 8 on the road in playoffs.... Tito must know that... He tried to get too cute Looked past Yankees banking his veterans would be healthy by ALCS He didnt count on Edwin going down and Lindor Ramirez slump... Still pissed and cant stand Yankees in play offs ....

Roger FierstThis is what I do not get. He knew Kluber was not right. Of course Kluber would want to pitch. Sorry, "try to pitch". We have best staff in all of MLB and he sends Bauer out on short rest. He has Carrasco who would be #1 ace on half if staffs in MLB. We would have understood sitting Kluber. Kluber carried us last year. He took three veterans who had not faced MLB pitching in 2 1/2 months or rehab assignment minor league pitching for that matter. I'm sorry, Love Tito but those were two huge mistakes. He is a HOF manager. Last night was awful watching Yankees and Cubs play tonight. Bad job out of Tito

‪Antonetti was asked about signing Francisco Lindor to an extension. He said that free agency/potential free agency is the first priority. ‬ ... See MoreSee Less

Ricardo Aponte, Joseph Thomas and 18 others like this

Stu BoyarAnything is hard to digest right now. All is extremely raw. Sign Lindor so his entire career is with us but they have other business right now. I respect that. Front office has been quite astute but all share responsibility for the collapse starting with the ALDS roster. Poor decisions. Costly.

Jean MickeyTalking like a politician, Lindor needs to be treated with respect! He's the glue that holds that team together!
