Matthew AlanWith the sudden resurgence of this team, the talent on the field, in the front office, and our coaching staff...it's pretty clear to me after all these years that it was Shapiro holding the Indians back and not the Dolan's. It wasn't until Antonetti became the GM that our minor league system improved and I don't think Shapiro would have had the guts to go after EE, Bruce, and Miller. Meanwhile, Shapiro goes to Toronto, cans AA, and lets Price and EE walk.

Chris MeglanI remember the first time I set foot in the Indians Clubhouse. For me, the most lasting memory was looking at the Bulletin Board on seeing the 2012 Schedule pinned to it. You might recall, we went 5-24 in the month of August. It was a horrible stretch of baseball, and it basically killed the season for what was, at that time, a very young team. I was definitely encouraged to see that Francona as trying to instill a great measure of accountability in the club house, and those efforts have definitely manifested into a ball club that has struck the perfect balance between going about your business, and also having fun doing it

Gerry Fornalczykmy beef is the 3 games lost on the road trip were to inferior pitchers. lost the games snell, that rookie kid from minnesota and hammel pitched. we're keeping hammel in the league. he throws his glove out there and he wins. i know it's stupid to think you're gonna win every game, but the way things were set up, it was a possibility. lets take 5 of 7 this week, before another 11 game roadie to ny, det, and chisox.

Ryan HetrickNow they have to follow that up at home. Keep M Brantley on the shelf and unleash him the 2nd or 3rd week of Sept. He'll be rested and ready. That lineup with Brantley and Bruce is sick. Every bit as good as Houston or Boston. The difference is the Tribe's pitching is better than both.

Drew KistnerAs a Reds fan, I am glad Bruce is doing well and wish him luck in Cleveland. He is probably more comfortable back in the Midwest. Don't get too excited with Bruce's current numbers. He is very, very streaky. Ride him while you can....

Cleveland Indians shared cleveland.com's post.

This is an awesome story about a long-time Season Ticket Holder, who still buys a ticket for his late wife to sit next to him.

Please take a few minutes to read.
... See MoreSee Less

91-year-old Ron's wife, Annie, passed away 20 years ago. Ever since, he's donated the value of Annie's ticket each game to Cleveland Indians Charities. "Often times when people die," Ron says, "you remember them for a period of time, but as time goes by, you remember them a little less and a little less. With Annie -- every freaking ballgame, Annie's there."

Kathy AlauraWhat a great story!!! ❤️ My sister was my baseball buddy. She has passed last year and I really miss our time together at the games. Our last game together was sitting behind home plate because someone was kind enough to give us their tickets. She loved baseball. It's not the same going without her.

Chris ProbstVery cool moment, but its kinda hard to believe that this one moment has completely defined how people view him... he really wasn't that good last year!! He got off to a super hot start and really struggled once pitchers adjusted to him, his ability to hit for average as well as his power completely vanished, and while he has above average speed, he doesn't run as well as Zimmer and plays horrible defense. Had a big hit in game 3 of the ALDS but was a disaster afterwards in the playoffs. Even if Zimmer doesn't hit he can be an impact player on defense, Naquin can't. AAA is the best place for him in the organization now, where would he play for the Indians? Who is he legitimately better than? In all honesty, last offseason would have been the optimal time to trade him, he had pretty nice overall numbers and some national exposure in the postseason, now his trade value is in the basement, because other teams see him as a buy-low reclamation project, or a 4-A slugger or possible 4th/platoon outfielder.
