Carl TompkinsThe bats were banging tonight other than the little Asian dude in left field who looks SO out of the place taking up roster space. PS 3bman Colin Moran now hitting .298 with 17 home runs at AAA with 3 hits tonight and Fisher with a triple. Maybe Bregman looks expendable in a Chris Archer trade after all.

Allan McFaddenThat wasn't just an amazing moment. But that was an amazing game! Does anyone remember how it ended? 2 outs in the bottom of the 11th down by one. Biggio gets a rally started with an infield base hit, his 5th hit of the game. Then another single up the Middle. Then Berkman HBP to load the Bases, then the Carlos Lee Walk off Grand Slam! All with two outs! It was an amazing game all around!

We did get to go when they had the celebration for the 3,000th hit, though. Fast forward 10 years. His girlfriend's dad in Pittsburgh sells sports memorabilia and knows Biggio. Mark TharpePaulino needs to go at least 5 or 6 and keep us in the game. Bregman hasn't been hitting I'm glad hes out. Marisnick needs to be playing hes one of our hottest hitters, I understand Aoki needs some reps. So Gattis, Marisnick and Bregman are on the bench. Please don't bring Hoyt or Gregerson in tonight, unless its one sided. Basically we need to play better at home. We made two great defensive plays last night and Fiers pitched pretty well, but we need to drive runners in like we do on the road.

Alton MatthewsThis is why I respect the Astros page win or lose they always update and get the results you go to others teams page and the latest updates are always the last time they won a game

Wesley GlueckToo many runners left in scoring position is your answer for this loss plain and simple, but we'll take this one on the chin and bounce back! When Keuchel and Morton come back after the all star break it's going down!

Paul WatsonOnce again Fiers pitched his heart out while the offense won't step up. I couldn't believe Gattis had a 3-0 count with the bases loaded and no out and he swung at ball four at the ankles and hit into a double play. Just terrible. And why bring in Hoyt with the bases loaded? Bring in someone who has a more reliable strikeout pitch, like Feliz or Giles.

Bill GonzalesBases loaded no outs and 3-0 to a 240 hitter. He's given the green light and promptly hits into a double play. Instead of a big inning you settle for 1 run with bases loaded and no outs. That's always a win for the defense. Poor coaching decision on that one

Randy LowryWho gave gattis the green light to swing at ball 4? That killed what would have been a huge inning. If you're swinging on 3-0 it better be RIGHT down the pipe.. And Preferably not in a tie game with the bases jacked and nobody out..

Ely Cisneros FriasFor the love of God, quit batting Gattis clean up. Smh he's not a good offensive player, so why on earth does Hinch keep hitting him clean up or fifth? He is hitting in the low .200s vs left handed pitching. He's also one of the worst hitters in this lineup. Gattis shouldn't be hitting anywhere near middle of order for a contender.

Aaron Dean WieruscheskeExactly why the "closer" is garbage. The game can, and often is savable BEFORE the 9th. If Giles is the "best" in close/winnable games, bring him in when it IS winnable. Hard to close a game when you're down by 4 runs. Hinch is a fool to call on a guy that didn't make the team out of spring training in a 1-1 bases loaded situation.

Mickey JamiesonGreat effort from Fiers. Not his best night, but the issue I saw tonight was lack of timely hitting. Second and third LOB two innings in a row. Double digit hits, but not very many with runners on base. Green lighted but hit into a double play. There were plenty of opportunities to score runs, but we just didn't take advantage. Next time...

Steve ButlerLove the pop fly and double play to end the game. Guy is wild walking people, 3-0 count bases loaded, let's hit into a double play, why would we want another walk?

Calvin KurtzReally gattis swinging at a 3 and 0 after the pitcher couldn't find the plate in 8 pitches with the bases loaded and no outs. Hinch makes why too many wrong decisions and why didn't Marvin score with two outs and a ball hit to the wall in center field that was bad also. Better get it together tonite.

Vick McfaddenI love Astros but they need to improve the pen I know they been overworked but doesn't matter reason Teams like Boston and Cleveland would beat Houston in playoffs they got lead going to seventh forget it game over but you never feel safe when our relievers enter no matter what the lead

Kelly SmithWe came up against a decent A's starter, Altuve is only 2-15 vs the guy so let's just call this what it is. We had an off night due to the RISP with 2 outs and couldn't deliver. Look at the bright side, we are way ahead of the division and when we get our starting rotation back then we'll be fine.

Steve ButlerHmm, if we had all the hits in ninth inning, and Springer was batting three, we would have had a tie game HR! Knocking in Correa and Altuve, as their hits would have scored other 2 runs. Had Gattis not swung at ball four and hit into a double play, that could have been a better inning. Does Hinch actually watch the game or does he keep his head in his stat book?

Rita Rucksdashel ColemanYou cannot have 14 hits and 4 runs and expect to win the game. The hits and the runs need to be very close in number!! This is the only problem I see with our team right now ... they seem to be not connecting when someone is on base. That said, I still LOVE MY ASTROS!! Let's go and get the series, then nail the Yanks!

Melissa DavisJune has been the toughest month for the team, especially with the rotation issue. That said, they are still going to finish the month above .500 (14-13 is worst case scenario). In their worst month so far. So chill.

Josue CamargoIt's just amazing to me how we keep winning and everybody riding the wagon. But we lose one game and everybody is a coach seeing everything the team did wrong and complaining. That's why the season is 162 games long fair weather fans.

Brian BakerI wish Hinch would leave starters in long enough to get thru trouble when the pitch count is getting high. I can bet Fiers may have given up another run with the bases loaded. But how can pitchers learn to handle stress if you don't let them work thru it. That has been the only issue with Fiers and other new starters. As soon as they get in a little trouble they get pulled rather than letting them learn to fight thru it. The more you do something the less rattled you become doing it.

Tony TravisSo once we take the next 2 from Oakland, our winning percentage at home will be right at about .600! Sure it's not great, but it sure ain't "horrible"!

David Jordan14 hits and only 4 runs? Two big mistakes swung this game Gattis hitting into a DP, with a 3-0 count & Hoyt leaving a pitch over the plate with the bases loaded, 3-2 count.

Mike TenienteOKAY GUYS ....LETS THINK ABOUT THIS . WE NEED TO THINK ABOUT WHAT FORMULA DID IT TAKE ASTROS FOR YOU TO BE WHERE YOU'RE AT NOW BUT WE NEED TO STOP LOSiNG HOME GAMES! You know its almost like a Monday to Friday workload.... Monday , Tuesday and Wednesday are like road games , we focus more because we know it will be along week, so that being said we actually give more effort. payday comes around before the weekend we think about partinying by Thursday , friday and Saturday are the home games we begin to get too relaxed and not focus on what we started !!! if you give almost 100% most days your schedule will get easier meaning some days will be just as good as others. Not everyone gives a 100% everyday but 1/2 assin gets you nothing but demoted or let go ..in all jobs SO LETS NOT JUST EARN IT.. LETS FINISH THIS MUTHA!!!!!! COMON STROS !!!!!!
