Bartolo Colón struckout 6 in 6 innings of work Sunday. He got the victory and became the 18th pitcher to beat all 30 MLB teams. #MNTwins #TwinsWin ... See MoreSee Less

Greg ShowersI was at the game yesterday and it was really fun. Colon doesn't fit any of the modern profiles for a pitcher. He is not tall, is tubby and has short arms but he leaves them walking away wondering what just happened.

Darrel NelsonStatistically, his pitching peripherals would suggest a decline. But, all things being equal, he's done EXACTLY the job that the team has asked him to. He's eaten innings and allowed Molitor to ease the load and usage a bit on younger pitchers, potentially preventing any physical pain or ailments to onset as they continue to develop. It also creates the flexibility for Molitor to use the younger pitchers (those here now with the team) in matchups that are more ideal and/or suitable to them and to observe that development without much compromise and less risk. If Colón can be retained on a veterans' minimum salary for next season, I'd be agreeable to that. I can see him fulfilling the swingman role in the team's pitching rotation effectively when the season opens in 2018.

Paul BoyleA Question for ALL MN Twins Fans: Would you trade Cuddyer's and Hunter's career of never even making it to the World Series for the Man who pitch a complete game 10 inning shutout in GAME 7 of the 1991 World Series? The Twins HOF is a joke without Jack Morris in it... and so is the MLB HOF without Jack Morris and Tony Oliva!

Shayla NicoleI'm not crying, you're crying. Again. Like I did yesterday. So glad I went. He's my all time favorite player. It's not always about the stats. Cuddyer is cut from that cloth of old school mentality. He never seemed to have an ego. He never seemed to take his job for granted. He gave back at every opportunity and did everything that was asked of him for the sake of the game. He was a leader on and off the field in so many ways. I don't think I'll forget yesterday anytime soon. What a special day.

Paul BeckerOne of the best players on the field, one of the VERY best role models on & off the field. You always showed true sportsmanship on the field. Your outreach to all baseball fans, all charities you worked with and community work you did throughout your career on and of the field has not and will never be overlooked! The Twins, Rockies and Mets organizations as well as MLB are all better with your contributions! You sir are a class act! Congratulations to you Mr Twins HOF! Thank you for the memories!

Ted TatroI had the honor of meeting Cuddy and his charming wife at a Breakfast With The Twins event, in Fort Myers a few years ago. He was my favorite Twin because of his burning desire to win. Several times over four Spring Training visits, I observed him pull rookie players aside to give constructive criticism of baserunning mistakes, lack of hustle, or general attitude. He always was concerned about the team as well as the rookie's future. In my mind, Michael Cuddyer was born to play baseball and he did so with class and a love for the game! I also think he'd make an excellent manager.

1 day ago   ·  3
Avatar

Paul SchlesingerHe was really kinda after my time. But was always known as a class guy, which there just aren't enough of in pro sports. And I love the fact that when he left the Twins for another team, he chose to wear number 3, to honor my all-time sports hero, Harmon Killebrew, who payed long before but who Cuddyer had come to know and respect. Fabulous. I'm gonna do the same when it's my turn; wear #3.
