Hire one of those 2 & make Alfonzo a third base coach to be in line as manager for Mets later on. Miami has Mattingly on hot seat & if they cut him our Mets better jump on that quickly.

Mosh Babiloniasee, the lineup stinks. they get on base but don't score runs. defense lets down the pitchers yesterday & today its the offense. meanwhile Jay Bruce is on fire, of course. wouldn't count on him wanting to come back to NY.

Norberto TorresThat's why everyone should know better than to buy into the media hype. That's their job...to hype. But the kid no doubt has potential. Could he lose a few lbs? Absolutely. He's already athletic & it would only help 2b in better shape. How he comes into spring training next yr, will speak volumes as to what they have or don't have.

Tony FarinaHow does one show up to the major leagues, first day, out of shape? What team at any level would allow that?

Victor LorenzoI have to hand it to the Mets social media team. It hasn't been an easy year, yet they continue to bring positivity to all of their posts. I know someone on the team is reading this right now and I just wanted to say Thank You

Phil Anthony TestaI know it's only been a week but Dominic smith.....ehhh he's ok. Something bout him makes me think he's just average. I like Duda better. Dominic smith isn't athletic, he's slow, and I see him being a dh in the American League. He reminds me of a poor mans prince fielder. Prince was better. Dom smith just runs like a starving guy looking for cake.

'Ramon CruzBody shaming!! Really!?! It's baseball, if you can swing and throw, you a possible athlete...mets/smith aren't reinventing body shapes- fielder, panda, babe Ruth to name a few can shut this negative Nancy panties too tight way of thinking...let's pay attention to how he counters his own scouting report...it's a matter of time before they find his weakness at the plate...

Dan KahanerWhere are all the idiots that fought with me about how this kid isn't capable of hitting 20 homers in a season? That's a Dom Bomb if I ever saw one. And for everyone talking about his weight, he's smaller than Cecil and Prince Fielder. They both turned out okay for big guys.

Thomas ArecchiDominic Smith hopefully will become a very solid first baseman offensively and defensively unfortunately for the Mets they should have picked Aaron judge who was available but it is what it is give the kid a chance I would take a 300 Gap hitter with a good glove any day

Joseph M. BieckWe are not contenders this year. So, there are two results. First, we traded players that were going to be lost to free agency anyway. Second, we get to see what the younger players in the organization have to offer. That is the bottom line. Sure it hurts, but this is how MLB works. We know that we need to get a few pieces here and now (a good starting pitcher, good relief pitching, a long term 3B (hopefully one that is a power hitter)). A good look at the younger players will reveal any other missing links. The money is there to address these needs in the upcoming offseason.

Frank ManningThe team is going nowhere and is fireselling all the fan favorite players. How smart is it to practically give Granderson away for free, yet we cling to David Wright who hasn't played a full season in 5 years or a single game this year?!?!?!

Kevin LarkinDumping salary doesn't help next year. Do not sign Moose for 3B and lose a #1 and draft and international cap room. My issue is that Sandy couldn't trade Reed, Bruce, Granderson, Walker, Rivera, Duda, and Cabrera and get one real prospect.
