Scott MenellSo, of course, Sandy is making the bland, safe, choice with either Kevin Long or Manny Acta. How are us Met fans supposed to get excited by this??!! This is, once again, a loser franchise!! The Mets had a chance to take back this city 2 years ago, and have squandered the opportunity So typical!! I am sick and tired of how this team operates. It's almost enough to make me a Yankee fan, which I consider the ultimate insult!!

Marion PallarinoMakes no difference who the manager is, if there is no talent to begin with! Who's the centerfielder, the third and second basemen! Is the catching sufficient, will the new pitching coach be better than the one we had? Will the players stay healthy? Cespedes and Comforto? Lots of questions to be answered! Will Familia respond to being the closer? Will Harvey and Syndergarrd be healthy? Sandy has a lot of work to do before Spring Training! The way this club is contructed now, it will not make the playoffs!

Donald MeierOh, now we get it. It was the logo that made the team so bad. Mike BenvegnaWhy do you guys do this to me. Im still not over that series. I was 23 years old back then, had been dating my now wife or just about 6 months. I cried myself to sleep that night. For real, i did. To this day I still argue we would have beat the Tigers.

Michael AzzaroOne of the greatest catches ever, especially given it happened in a game 7 of a championship series. Still don't know how we lost this game. Sigh, being a Mets fan... Lol

James GallombardoThat was the best MLB catch I ever saw in person. After that catch with the way the crowd reacted at Shea, I never thought the Mets would have lost that game. Still can't forgive Beltran for looking at strike 3 to end the game.

Michael AzzaroJesus, everyone relax. It was an amazing moment in our teams history. Everyone complaining about this year's Yankees?? Really?? What does this year have to do with 06? Or 86? Or 69? Or the years we were NL Champs? We may not have a huge amount of bright spots for our team but we do have some. Frustration comes with being a Mets fan. It's a package deal. Enjoy the good, endure the bad, remain a loyal fan or pick a new team! There are plenty of other ones you can chose to root for. The Yankees win a lot and seem to do everything right. Go root for them!

Roy JonesThese idiots on the other side are going to win another World Series title and the Wilpons are going to be cheap once again and announce some no name, never won anything or rookie manager instead of paying Mike Scioscia or John Farrell. That's going to be there biggest news story after the World Series and once again we SUCKERS are going to buy into it. Watch and see Mets fans that they hire some inept loser. It's guaranteed.

Tommy ScherrerLot of classic revisionists out there blaming Beltran, a possible Hall of Fame player who might go in as a Met, for the strikeout. Let's not forget the bottom of the inning, 2nd and 3rd, one out, Valentin and Chavez both up.. pop up, strikeout. Heilmann still had to serve up the homer to Molina. If you're gonna blame one, blame 25.

I was watching a subway series game. this organization reminds me day after day how horrible of a decision that was. from ownership, to management to many of the players. COMPLETE ineptitude year after year im sick of it.

Erik LipkinI watched this game in my college dorm room with two friends who were also Mets fans. That catch is such a great memory for me. Unfortunately that memory was ruined by Carlos Beltran going down looking on that wicked Wainwright curveball. That loss still hurts all these years later.

Chino RiveraLet’s concentrate on putting a healthy team on the field and let’s get rid of these awful conditioning coaches. This year we had a contending team but our conditioning coaches did an awful freakin job in keeping them healthy. Let’s make 2018 our year. Let’s Go Mets.

Brian LonerganThis was the same exact post exactly 1 year ago. Funny how quick some of you “fans” can turn sour. It was an amazing catch and an amazing experience for many people. Yes, we lost the game. Yes, the Yankees are in the playoffs and we aren’t. Get over it, this is not the last season in baseball history. We’ll be back.

Jesse KapitoWe blew it that year, losing to a below 85 win Cardinals team that had no business beating us. Probably the saddest I've ever been as a sports fan.

Jeff BandesI was there when Beltran struck out. I never heard Shea Stadium so quiet with a packed crowd. I was in the upper deck and I could actually hear the Cardinals celebrating on the field.

Ting WangI was at that game. I remember standing up thinking "oh @#$" and then BOOM Endy got that amazing catch. I never saw Shea Stadium ROCK like that ever before. The bleachers were literally shaking and I thought the whole place was gonna collapse lol. Then I remember watching Beltran strike out looking and I never saw a packed stadium get so quiet ... felt like you could hear a pin drop. What a night lol

Michael DomenaI really truly wish people would stop picking on Beltran for this. I'm as frustrated as anyone, but look at that at-bat again. Look at that freakin curveball that Wainwright uncorked there. It was the best pitch of his career, and he threw it right when he needed to throw it. That was a NASTY freakin curve that could have frozen any batter. I love my Mets, but seriously, sometimes you have to give credit to the other guy when it's due.

Craig SchofieldHow many Mets fans are wondering what happened to Endy? Answer: He's playing for the Puebla Pericos. Here he is leading off first base, later to score the first run in a victory over Aguas Calientes. It was great to see him this summer and great to remember that catch. I didn't see it live as I was working evenings then, but I knew something good had happened when I walked home past the bar on Skillman Ave and it erupted into raucous cheers.

Erik LumGood luck, you're never going to end bullying. All this is about the victims wanting others to save them from "Bullies" instead of standing up for yourself. Remember this isn't physical bullying. This is about mental bullying because words are offensive these days

Linda AlfieriNo one deserves to be bullied. This country was built on diversity. Just because someone doesn't look like you , doesn't look like you, does it act like you, doesn't mean you have the right to bully them. They are being themselves just like you are being yourself.

Harrison HattonSince the start of 2016 Reeyes the disease has returned to infect the Mets franchise. Reyes is one of those rare viruses who will douse his teammates in talcum powder and sunflower seeds during at bats. He was charged with domestic violence when with rockies. A month after familia got back, familia gets in a domestic violence issue coincidence? Worst mistake ever bringing back this lunatic. #StandAgainstBullying
