Josh MumbloI haven't been this excited to watch the Yankees in a decent amount of time! Heck, I haven't watched this many Yankee games in forever! I was glued to Yankees baseball this season. so in my opinion this season was a success.they were not suppose to be this good. Especially in the playoffs. I never thought I was gonna be watching post season Yankees baseball and I got 2 full series out of it. I'm excited for Yankees baseball again! Be happy Yankees fans! This season was amazing and it will only get better!

Nick StevensSeriously one of my favorite seasons in a LONG time. We challenged well established, playoff caliber teams and did amazing enough to finish as the third best team in baseball with a team of all new hires and rookies, barring tanaka, cc, and gardner. Cant wait to see what we do in the coming years.

Juan Pablo MatamorosI was there for game 7. I wore my NY ball cap proudly till the last out. I knew a positive outcome against the most consistent team in baseball all year (astros) was slim to none. I wore my cap I represented my team. I'm a Yankee win or lose. I' was really proud of my team last night. 3-3 tied series against the best team. The Yankees did there best and game Houston a fight. Greg GoldsmithAlready pumped for spring training. This 2017 team is the worst team you're gonna see for the next 5-10 years at least. That's scary when you think about it. I know hal and cashman are gonna want to bring girardi back. I wouldn't blame girardi if he walked away after 10 years, but at the same time I hope he comes back. Anyone who knows baseball clearly knows he's a fantastic manager, he's perfect for the young kids and is absolutely the right man for this job. Period, end of story. You haters can try all you want

Anthony VigliettaThey need to learn from this, and hopefully this loss will be the fuel for next season. Specifically, the team has to cut down on strikeouts, Sanchez has to spend a lot of time on his defense, Bird needs to learn how to slide. These may seem like little things, but they ultimately cost them this series. That being said, this team has nothing to be ashamed of.

Steve WilliamsIt was an amazing run. Very proud of the guys. You don’t get this opportunity every year. Just ask the Nationals. The question is, did we have a legitimate chance of beating in Astros? If the answer is yes then we need to fix the issues that caused us not to. I think we had a chance in game 6 and we allowed the Astros to get their mojo back. Managing the pitching staff is a major issue with this team. Need to stop looking at pitch count and look at what’s going on in the game.

This season was magical, and it’s only the beginning. Thank you, Brian Cashman, for realizing the potential and buying at the deadline. Thank you, Joe Girardi, for keeping this team in check when they had their backs against the wall numerous times. Thank you, Yankees, for, again, the most fun I’ve ever had watching baseball. Michael DunleaWhat an absolutely unforgettable journey this team had this year. I went to a game in April, opening week against the Rays. Judge still had question marks surrounding him, Gary and Didi were injured and not in the opening day lineup. At this point, the Yankees weren’t sure if they’d even finish 500. I watched the most incredible few months for this team happen between May and July, as the team caught fire and turned themselves into a first place team. I went to a game in July against the Reds, where Severino, Clint Frazier, and the newly added Todd Frazier made lots of noise in a solid team win, we were up a few games in first at this point. I went to the Subway Series, and watched the club absolutely dominate, complete with a homer from Judge. At this point we were locked in a race for the AL East. I went to a game late in September, at this point the team cemented their place as a legit playoff team, with the potential to make some noise. Ultimately, we settled for the wild card. I attended the wild card game, and watched the Yankees escape sure defeat down 3-0 with no starter in the winner take all contest. The team stormed back for a signature win. I then attended the turning point game in the now legendary upset of the AL win leader Indians. The Yankees went on to stun that team thanks to a clutch game 5 from Didi and CC. We went on to face The Astros, another win now team with extremely high expectations. We gave them everything we had, we clutched up and stunned Houston at Game 4, which I attend. I’ve never seen anything quite like it in my lifetime, and maybe I never will, but that doesn’t matter, I got to see it and hear it with my own eyes and ears. The team went on to slay Dallas Keuchel, The unhittable ace of the Astros. And ultimately, the team couldn’t get it done in Houston. But that doesn’t matter. What matters is that this team has done. They’ve declared themselves as a contender, as a win now team, as a rising power. This is the next 6 or 7 years of this team. It’s time to win it all come next season, but tonight’s failure will never take away from what this team was.

Matt SpencerThey may have lost today, but they should be nothing but proud of this season. The Yankees have taken a "rebuilding" year team to within one bat-swing of the World Series. A team that won four elimination games in the post season, and came back from multiple game and series deficits. Heads should be held high. If the spirit and drive of this team can continue into next year, the World Series won't just be a chased pipe dream, but an expectation. Win or lose this has been the best I’ve felt about a young inexperienced team since ‘96. Fans of other teams can troll here and say what they want about the Yankees but last I heard fans of the Red Sox, Twins and Indians are not cheering for their teams in the LCS and even fans of the Astros are biting their fingernails (they won’t admit it but they are same as many Yankees fans). So let’s hope CC can give them at least 5 strong innings and leave with a lead for the bullpen that, regardless of last nights misstep, can shut the Astros down. Go Yankees!

Andy CiriacoI’m tired of hearing excuses of we weren’t supposed to be here and we’ll be back. The fact is this team was winning the division in late June, made significant acquisitions in July and was 1 game away from the World Series with two to play. I’m still hoping we are going to come back from a 4-run deficit but if we don’t I don’t want to hear ANYONE say these excuses. NOTHING is guaranteed. If you want to find that out just ask the Cleveland Indians who expected to be in the World Series this year!! Bad loss if we lose this and a new voice is needed. Did anyone else watch Houston execute a hit and run and ask when have we last done that? Has anyone else asked why can’t Gardner drag a bunt down the first base line for a base hit? These type of thinks make a team complete.

Timothy John GillespieHicks??!!!! Come on.. try something new Joe!! What’s your obsession with hicks??? He’s a career .200 hitter. The guy is below average for a normal team and way below Yankee caliber. He also holds the lowest batting average in the playoffs on our team. You deep sixed Clint Frazier. BAD move joe & Cashman!! Also, you better have a short leash for CC tonight. You really blew it leaving Severino last night. Do the right thing Joe. Wake up! And FYI: suggesting specific moves doesn’t mean you don’t support the team, or you aren’t proud of how far they have come. That argument is extremely weak. It’s something a child uses to avoid criticism. We should expect excellence. With a few tweaks we would have it.

Ben PipernosWhat is up with this line up lol. Headley realistically should be batting 7th and hicks 9th. I would even consider putting in ellsbury over Hicks and just try to play the hot hand in the early innings. I would also consider batting headley fifth. People are sleeping on him and he is a consistent .270 hitter who has shown he can be effective at the biggest stage.

Didi was visibly irritated at the suggestion he or Sanchez screwed up the relay. I thought then that it lit an extra fire for them which is another reason I think they'll win tonight. I think they're tired of being looked at as lucky to be here, they're no longer playing with house money now they're playing like it's their house.

Sevy couldn't find the plate all inning, and then the bases are loaded against the best hitter in baseball. Joe left him in, and the score then became 3-0. Only THEN does he bring in Green. smh In the postgame show, he's going to have that stupid unsure voice of his saying, "We were hoping he could get the last out..." This team, and all it's great players, deserves a better manager than Clueless Joe Girardi.

If he'd taken Sevvie out after the 2nd walk, or after the first run scored, the entire tempo of the game would have been different. Then, after Robertson gives up the home run, Girardi leaves him in to melt down & basically concedes the game. The Yanks need a new manager. It's time.

Michael RomeroThey sure are pumping the Houston Astros for Game 6 - They have a headline that Electric Minute Maid Awaits! major error there folks - "28 Awaits" for the Yankees...lol no mention of Severino, another header about the Astros Elite Bats...lol "Now that's a good one..." and they mention the team hitting .147 wrong, it's actually .157, but... let's produce a more accurate Team Batting Average.... minus the first two games of Altuve in Houston and it dwindles to .128 and minus Correa 1st two games in Houston and it dwindles to .112 - now this is major playoff slump woes for an entire team... Elite Bats combine for a .157 Average in the ALCS and it's shocking that there is even a Game 6! "Reality" same thing in the Cleveland Series, without that Grand Slam and the Yankees would have closed earlier... now these are really, really, really good teams in the Regular Season they are playing, but they are playing the Yankees who happen to be able to beat anyone 🙂 Elite Bats are in New York! how to you compare the sheer outage of 52 HRs and they don't pitch to you to 24 and less than 100 Ribbies... of course Aaron would have 140 RBIs but the MLB has made the 2nd slot the power position? I thought the Angels had Trout in the 2nd Slot because he has speed on the base path to rival Mantle who did leadoff duties as well as Mays due to their sheer speed... but the 2nd Slot is the NEW Power Slot?

Octavio CampoTrue, knowledgeable fans know not to look ahead for the dodgers, first the dodgers are there yet, second it would be a huge mistake to forget we still have to beat the ASTROS at home, and understand the crowd is the tenth player. So let's go YANKEES, but we still have to beat them in their home field, there's a lot of baseball to play, please let's stay focused and forget about the DODGERS for now.

Vito BattistaSee what happens when you play teams that aren’t part of the worst division in MLB. The 2nd place team in A.L. West didn’t even have a 500 record (Angels 80-82) Baseball is a funny game with momentum belonging to that days pitcher so I know a lot can still happen to make me eat my words but this is the first “must win” game Astros have been in all year and from what I’ve seen the last 3 games I don’t think they have it in them to win. They all looked like they were trying to hit 6 run home runs last night. Go Yankees!

Michael RomeroYankees are listed as Underdogs in Game 6 - well the past three games might indicate otherwise 😉 why even mention they already beat Cleveland in Cleveland with Kluger starting??? 35-4 Indians wind up 0-3 vs Yankees... similiarily the Astros who were 20-5 are now 0-3 their last three against the Yankees.. so Teams with a combined record of 55-9 then proceeded to go 0-6 when the Yankees had to win...

Faith BoschmannI like the Sanchez homer, but I have always hated when batters stand and admire it...what if that had not been a homer, and it was caught at the wall by the outfielder? Even if you think it is a homer, start hustling to first, then when it clears, then you can admire it.

Robert AndronacoYes , if the Yanks get to the WS , it would go down as one of the most AWESOME run in history. A wildcard team facing elimination in 3 games. Yanks were picked to place 3rd in the Eastern division. If they were lucky..

George BiliasHouston we have a problem! Who killed JR? Dallas is officially off the air and out of the game! Dallas owns the Yanks! Dallas is unhittable! Dallas is unbeatable! Guess what? Dallas got yanked! These Baby Bombers are back in the Bronx where they don’t lose. There is a wild Birdman roaming in the Bronx! Big Bird gets the party started with an RBI single. 1-0. The humble Judge follows with a court room rope down the line for a double. 2-0. The Sanchize keeps things rolling with a single to left. 3-0. It’s the Age of Gregorius! Sir Didi comes through with a clutch single. 4-0. Dallas has evacuated, while The Baby Bombers’ bright future has already arrived. The Sanchize later buys some insurance on a towering blast to left. 5-0. Tanaka went Godzilla on the Astros lineup and shut them out with a partially torn ligament in his arm through 7! Bullpen closed the door shut. 5-0. 3 in a row in the Bronx. Up 3-2 after being down 2-0. One win away from the World Series. 5 wins away from historic #28. This ain’t your grandma’s Wild Card team! Off to Houston where they only need 1 of 2. Verlander you’re next! LGY!

Judge slugging over .800, bullpen near perfect, starters amazing, won 19 of 22 last home games,1 win away from the World Series; etc.... etc.... Great way to end a Wednesday.

CC will be there for seven. And we know what happens when he pitches after a loss. I like the Yanks in 6. I think this offense will adjust and I think Verlander has already pitched his best game.
