Dennis UrbanBeen a Yankee fan since 1960 through good and bad. Can't recall a stretch like these last 14 games when I actually am waiting for them to someone lose even last night with a 5 run lead and they almost blew it. Whether hitters can't hit or starters can't give quality starts or bullpen (especially bullpen) can't hold. So many 1st pitch swings and outs. What happened to being 1st in the number of pitches for at bats? And the top guy in working the count, Gardner is sitting today? I think Girardi who I have never liked has gone as far as he can especially with the future this club has with young players.

(4-0) He has stopped some losing streaks but Curry really likes to throw that ace title around like Matt Lauer calls every single established actor a "legend". As inconsistent as he has been Tanaka has to still be the ace. Then you have YES comparing Monty to Andy at the same point in their careers! A bit much. Ease up on the guy. Let him be one of the guys, not THE guy. A nice pitched game with some much needed length. Too bad the bullpen (Betances aside) almost blew it.

Bill Hare😠 Right now what bothers me the most with the Yankees front office management and the staff they are hiring is too many of the same young Yankees players are getting injuries to different areas of their body less than 3 months in the regular season. Too many Yankees players going on the DL every year within the first 3 months of the regular season every year for the last 6 years. While teams like the Astros, Indians, Dodgers now and other Top standing teams every year for the last 6 years have been able to lose a less players to the DL within the first 3 months of the regular season. Something is very wrong with the staff the Yankees are hiring since the Steinbrenner sons took over as Yankees team owners. Too many many young good players have been ruined by their staff irresponsible care the last 10 years.

Would it have really impacted anything in the long-term if he had simply left Betances out there to pitch the 9th of a 6-1 game? This is the same manager that tried to rationalize bringing in Betances to get two outs during a complete blowout. Get Warren back and don't let any of these other guys pitch except during total garbage time.

Allan V ValentineI blame Girardi once more for not closing things down! he has allowed doubt to slip into the minds of the players by not nailing down wins! He should have gone with his top reliever in ninth, not like he wasn't well rested! instead he constantly risks losing games like this, and often does lose these types of games cause he puts kids in situations they just are hardened to handle,, Clippard is a good rookie pitcher, but ninth inning in the midst of a poor stretch is a position you don't destroy one of your long relievers on, you throw your closer out and finish it out, win 6-1 and have a positive day tomorrow, instead now the team is spooked a bit, thinkin 'we barely escaped again!'

Yankees struggle on the road they 16-20 in road games this year and they have proved they can not beat bad teams the last two weeks, I am very worried about this road trip. 4 in Chicago and 3 in Houston. The White Sox will be World beaters this series just like Anaheim Oakland and Texas was smh

Magdalene DorsetteYes I cannot agree more the manager did a bad job in managing the game last night. I listen to joe last year after every lost oh we have to win tomorrow and everyday they are losing the next game that doesn't sit well with Yankees fan we got to win those games it's ridiculous the way we losing to teams under 500 wake up joe do your job I love this team to much to see us lose games like this shame.

Dick McElhaneyYanks imploding after a terrific start to the season. Still a productive first and third baseman, a couple of middle relievers and two starters away from becoming a legitimate contender. Otherwise a 86-76 team this year at best. Yanks need to be patient with the youth movement, although the acquisition of Manny at third would be a hard one to pass up now if available.
