Jacob ColeA "grind". I wish baseball players would know what a real grind of a job is . They listen too much to the announcers who make them sound like the "grind" is almost intolerable. They work about 6 months/year and about 20 hours per week at millions of dollars per season. It must be tough to be playing baseball in such a "grind".

Caden BurroughsFor everybody that’s mad that he called it a grind, I’m pretty sure he just means it was mentally tough getting called up and down. How would you feel if you were putting the time and effort in at your job but you were continuously promoted and then demoted? I'm pretty sure you'd think it was a grind too and mentally taxing. Athletes go through a different kind of stress than most people. While some players have longer leashes, if they don't produce they get cut. They lose their jobs. It's a grind for every athlete, you don't see the work that they're putting in behind the scenes. They're also away from their families for about 8 months. They might see them here and there but not much. It's a grind.

Matt ReederIf you're upset about this you should try putting yourself in the shoes of LBGTQ youth. They face more intolerance than you do - and this thread is another reminder of this. They are statistically more likely to be bullied, which is why this campaign exists. Kudos to the Cards for signing on to this. Those of you upset should consider a different point of view from your own.

Gabriel RockmanI'm ashamed to be a Cardinals fan. They're the most racist, bigoted fans in MLB. They're one of the few groups that would get upset at a anti-bullying campaign. I lived in Town & Country as an upper middle class white kid. The cultural divide between white people and black people in the St. Louis metropolitan area is about as big as you'll find anywhere in the country. Most of my classmates were upper middle class white kids as well, but only the bigots stayed behind, while the civilized ones knew better than to stay in St Louis.

Richard ChappellThe Cardinal marketing team going overboard with all these player profiles. That tells me they are bracing the fans for another year of not doing anything in the off season and trying to sell us on the talented farm system because they think we will buy into it. Not buying use the money and get some talent. I'm not saying there aren't good pieces but to compete pony up the Bucks.
